Hi, I'm Mollie, a painter based in Texas. I paint expressive figures in bold color and thick layered paint — work that lives somewhere between abstract and human. Every piece starts with a feeling and finds its way from there.

Artist Statement
My work explores emotional states through expressive figurative painting. Using bold color, layered paint, and gestural marks, I create abstracted human forms that emerge from and dissolve into fields of color. The figure becomes a vessel for emotion rather than a literal subject. I'm interested in how feelings inhabit the body — how longing, grief, joy, and tenderness can be carried physically and visually through color, movement, and texture.

I’ve always believed that feeling is the one thing we all share. I paint to get at that — work that doesn’t tell you what to feel, but leaves room for whatever you bring to it. What you see in my paintings might be completely different from what I put there. That’s not a mistake. That’s exactly what I’m after.
